Jae-in Hwan

Jae-in Hwan is a pseudonym for a queer and trans Korean-Japanese multi-disciplinarian based in Christchurch, New Zealand. They are politically driven, aiming to provide a platform for marginalised and under-represented creatives. Jae's writing has appeared in publications such as Needle in Hay, Literati, Girls Will Be Girls, Voiceworks, and the NoSleep Podcast. Their plays have been performed at La Mama Theatre, Beta Fest, Mudfest, Melbourne Fringe Festival, and the Lyric Hammersmith. Jae started Strangekind Studio in 2024 and is thrilled to be working with an incredibly talented cast and crew for KIND, the studio's debut show.
