We use the big-tent term audio fiction to refer to all types of audio-based fiction shows. Here are some examples of audio fiction you may know by different names:
• Audio Dramas
• Fiction podcasts
• Audiobooks
• Radio plays
• Radio theatre
All of those—and everything similar—roll up to what we call audio fiction.
The End only lists shows when they've reached a, but not necessarily the, conclusion.
If a show has published the finale episode of the first season, that counts as a conclusion, so it can be listed in our directory. And we'll keep that listing updated for subsequent seasons, doing our best to announce the next season finale reached and when a new season is coming again soon.
But not every audio fiction show has seasons. Limited series or audiobooks, for example. Those shows don't have seasons, just final episodes. So those shows can be listed once the conclusion is posted.
What about ongoing shows? Well... no. This is, after all, a directory for finished audio fiction. We know there are a lot shows that crank out episodes week after week, and we love that about them! But this directory is just for finished audio fiction.
Cool! We have a super-easy submission form that will take you less than two minute to fill out. We'll get a notice and process the submission, getting it listed in the directory. Easy!
