Show synopsis

When human bones are discovered in a Mississippi river bed, Fran Boden—a loner with peculiar gifts—returns to her small town to probe the origins of her mother’s long-ago disappearance and confront the ghosts of her family, both living and dead.

Written and Performed by Daryl Lisa Fazio, from her novel manuscript of the same name. With intro/outro music by Phillip DePoy.

Not all of my recommendations need to be perfect. Like this show, with such a compelling story, very subtle use of "ghost story" (I'd say urban fantasy or weird brain powers), and compelling voice of the narrator taking you right there; you quickly ignore the production imperfections.
